Roland Pavloski

Roland Pavloski (born March 4, 1973 in Birsfelden ) is a Swiss basketball coach .

career

Pavloski played at CVJM Birsfelden and at BC Arlesheim in the second highest division in Switzerland. He was also involved in Arlesheim as a youth coach and coached the women's team at the YMCA Riehen. In 2002 he was co-founder of the Starwings Basket Regio Basel , which arose from the merger of BC Arlesheim and CVJM Birsfelden. From 2002 he was assistant coach at the Starwings, in the 2002/03 season he also acted temporarily as head coach on an interim basis.

After ten years as (sometimes also playing) assistant coach, he was appointed head coach in Basel in 2012, and in February 2013 he resigned in order to devote more time to his computer science studies. In the 2013/14 season Pavloski was active as a youth coach as well as technical director for the Starwings in order to return to the Basel head coach in the national league for the 2014/15 season . At the beginning of December 2018, his contract in Basel was terminated after a season opener with nine defeats in a row.
