The National League A ( English Swiss Basketball League ) is the top division in club basketball of the men in Switzerland and used in own use usually have their English name. It currently consists of twelve teams in the highest season A and eight teams in season B. The league previously used the abbreviations LN (B) A and LNA (abbreviation for "Ligue Nationale de Basket") as a self-name .

Earlier, the League was a league of its own organization based in Neuchâtel NE in the Francophone Romandie been organized today the organization is responsible for Swiss basketball itself.

mode

The first twelve teams play a round robin tournament mode "every man for himself" with home and away ( English Round Robin ). The first eight teams after playing in play-off series in the " Best-of-Five " mode from the champions.
