Roland Schwarz (born August 14, 1996 in Moscow ) is a German wrestler in the Greco-Roman style .

He is the son of four-time world champion and Olympic silver medalist Islam Duguchiev . He started wrestling at 1. AC Bayreuth at the age of 7. In his youth he switched to ASC Bindlach. Here he was trained by his current personal trainer Matthias Fornoff.

National team

At individual championships he won his first German championship title in 2013 in the A-youth. He was then accepted into the youth national team. This year he took part in both the U18 European and World Championships. In 2016 he repeated this title with the juniors, reached the 5th place at the U21 European Championship and took part in the World Championship.

He made his jump to the men's national team by winning the Thor Masters 2018, which qualified him for the European Championships in Russia . After two victories over Ukraine and Sweden and two defeats against Belarus and Azerbaijan , he finished 5th. In the same year he won 5th place at the World Military Championships and 3rd place at the German Grand Prix, with which he qualified for the World Championships in Budapest, where he finished 7th after victories over Moldova and Japan and one defeat against Kyrgyzstan.

In 2019 he repeated the victory at the Thor Masters but this time in the new Olympic weight class up to 77 kg and thus qualified again for the European Championships that were held in Bucharest. In these he took 2nd place after winning over Azerbaijan, Armenia, Moldavia and Bulgaria, he only had to admit defeat to Roman Vlasov from Russia.

Bundesliga

He made his debut in the second Bundesliga in 2013 with ASC Bindlach against ASV Hüttigweiler in the weight class up to 86 kg. In 2014 he also started for ASC Bindlach in the second Bundesliga center. The following year he moved to the first division club ASV Mainz , where he started in the weight class up to 75 kg. In 2016 he alternated in the 75 kg and 86 kg weight classes. In 2017 he started with the newcomer SV Johannis Nürnberg in the weight classes 80/86 kg. In the following year he moved to TuS Adelhausen for the weight class up to 80 kg.
