Roland Stratmann designs his three-dimensional works mostly with simple everyday materials. For his participatory installations, he involves visitors and recipients in the creative process of the artistic work. The overall form and structure of the artwork resulting from this dialogue are planned and determined by the artist, and the detailed forms are developed in a joint process. Another focus of his artistic work can be found in his graphic work. Here he primarily deals with artistic issues relating to line, its contouring, limiting, limiting and descriptive function. This results, for example, in so-called "endless drawings", which are created with high concentration from a single, uninterrupted line.
