Roland of Hunnius

Roland von Hunnius (born March 24, 1945 in Halberstadt ) is a Hessian politician ( FDP ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Von Hunnius is an Evangelical Lutheran, married and has one daughter.

education and profession

After graduating from high school in Meppen / Ems in 1964, he studied economics at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Mannheim from 1964 to 1968, with a diploma in economics. From 1968 to 1984 von Hunnius worked in various marketing positions in the private sector, most recently as marketing director and from 1984 to 2001 as a partner in an advertising agency.

politics

Von Hunnius has been a member of the FDP since 1986 and there from 1990 to 2006 district chairman FDP Bergstrasse , from 1992 to 2004 deputy chairman of the party district Südhessen-Starkenburg and since 2001 European representative in the state board of Hesse.

From 1992 to 1997 and since 2001 he has been a member of the Rimbach municipal council , and from 2001 to 2013 he was also a member of the Bergstrasse district council, where he was deputy chairman of the district council and deputy chairman of the main, finance and personnel committee there. Roland von Hunnius was also a member of the Starkenburg Regional Assembly from 2001 to 2006 and from 2014 to 2016. Roland von Hunnius has been a member of the district committee of the Bergstrasse district as a district councilor since 2016.

The politician was a member of the Hessian state parliament from April 1, 1996 to April 4, 1999. After his re-entry into the state parliament (April 8, 1999), Mr. von Hunnius has been both deputy chairman of the European committee and a member of the budget committee, sub-committee for financial controlling and administrative control, advisory board for castles of the state of Hesse and the State Personnel Commission. He did not run for the state election in 2008, but is still volunteering in various positions free of charge.

In addition, Roland von Hunnius is marketing advisor to the company "Marketing & Service Roland von Hunnius" and a deputy member of the Advisory Board of the Hessen Investment Bank.
