Rolf-Edgar Silver

Rolf-Edgar Silber (born November 15, 1949 ) is a German medic.

Until his retirement in 2015, Silber was Director of the Clinic and Polyclinic for Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery at the University Hospital Halle (Saale) ; in 1993 he succeeded Wolfgang Konertz .

Since 2005 he has been committed to the cooperation between the Medical Faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the Medical University in Poznań . In 2010 he was awarded the Medal of Merit of the Poznań Medical University for his efforts to promote German-Polish relations in the field of medicine.
