Rolf Barth (writer)
Rolf Barth (born 1950 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a German theater scholar , theater maker, lecturer, screenplay and children's book author .
Life
Rolf Barth completed an apprenticeship as a banker and studied theater, German and political science at the Free University of Berlin . Since 1980 he has taught theater and cultural history at the Free University of Berlin, the Ruhr University Bochum and the Institute for Film Studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. Barth also worked as a writer for radio stations and for independent theater. Since 1995 he has worked as a scriptwriter and concept writer for various clients with a focus on series development, historical material and projects for children.
From 1983 to 2009 Barth ran a magic hands-on theater. He played both in his house in Berlin-Kreuzberg, as well as mobile on other stages. In 2006 he founded the children's book publisher Traumsalon edition , for which he publishes. He developed the helper figure for children "Mr. Cloud", which appears both on stages and in books. As Mr. Schreiberling , he gives guest performances in German-speaking countries with his animated reading theater Wolkenzauber, founded in 2010 .
