Rolf Meyer (politician, 1924)

Rolf Meyer (born July 22, 1924 in Schwelm ; † August 24, 2006 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith. From 1942 to 1945 he was in the military and after returning from captivity as a machinist. From 1950 he was managing director of the SPD sub-district and from 1964 of the SPD district of Western Westphalia. From May 1969 he was a member of the board of the Nordwest Lotto in North Rhine-Westphalia. He had been a member of the SPD since 1946. He was married.

From July 21, 1958 to May 27, 1975 Meyer was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in the constituencies 123 Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis-Süd and 126 Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis I. He was a member of the district council of the Ennepe-Ruhr district from 1953 to 1979.

Public offices

From June 27, 1968 to September 30, 1979 he was honorary district administrator of the Ennepe-Ruhr district.
