Rolf Verres

Rolf Verres (born May 4, 1948 in Coesfeld / Westphalia ) is a German doctor, musician and photographer.

Life

In 1968 Verres began studying medicine and psychology at the University of Münster . He completed both courses in Heidelberg. In 1977 he received his doctorate at the chair for occupational and social medicine at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . From 1981 to 1983 he was second chairman of the German Society for Medical Psychology . In 1986 he became a senior physician and completed his habilitation . In 1987 Verres became professor for medical psychology at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf . He returned to Heidelberg, where he was Medical Director of the Institute for Medical Psychology and Full Professor of Psychotherapy and Medical Psychology at the University Hospital from 1991 to 2013.
