Roman Bucheli

Roman Bucheli (born 1960 in Emmenbrücke ) is a Swiss journalist and literary critic .

Life

Roman Bucheli studied German literature and philosophy at the University of Freiburg from 1980 and received his doctorate in 1994 with a dissertation on the poet Alexander Xaver Gwerder at the University of Zurich . He wrote freelance literary reviews for Swiss newspapers. From 1994 he worked as an editor at the German Literature Lexicon . In 1999 he became a member of the feature section of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ). He reviews German literature from Switzerland and Germany, Dutch literature and also the books for children and young people from these countries.

In 2020 he was awarded the Premio Masciadri in recognition of his literary work .
