Roman Kosch ( Ukrainian / Russian Роман Кош , Crimean Tatar Roman Qoş) is the highest point in the Crimean Mountains at 1545 m . This makes the elevation the highest point on the Crimean peninsula . Today the Crimea National Park is located there . Only small groups of accompanied tourists can climb. The south side of the Crimean Mountains is a popular destination for many mountaineers.
Emergence
Roman Kosch was created together with the Crimean Mountains around 6 million years ago through the collision of the Eastern European plaice and the Western European plaice. The elevation is on the Babugan-Jajla massif. The mountain elevation consists exclusively of limestone deposits.
