Roman Sitko
Roman Sitko (born March 30, 1880 in Czarna , † October 12, 1942 in Auschwitz ) was a Polish priest and blessed of the Catholic Church .
Life
Roman Sitko attended elementary school in Czarna and Sędziszów and from 1892 to 1900 the high school in Rzeszów . He studied theology in Tarnów and was ordained a priest on June 29, 1904.
beatification
On June 13, 1999, Pope John Paul II beatified 108 Polish martyrs of German National Socialist persecution on Piłsudski Square in Warsaw . Among them was Roman Sitko. His feast day is June 12th.
