Romano Rath ( Romanes for "Roma blood") is a Roma band from Austria . The music style is a mix of traditional Roma music and modern influences. The band comes from the Burgenland town of Oberwart and consists of four members: Dieter Horvath (band leader), his brother Markus Horvath, Marcel Horvath (son of Dieter Horvath) and Markus Sarközi. As members of the Burgenlandroma , they use the Romanes dialect as it is spoken in Burgenland and the surrounding area.

In the mid-1990s, the band had their first appearance at a Roma Kirtag in Großbachselten . Several appearances in various cities in the country followed. Among other things, the band performed at the Oberwart Roma Music Festival in the Oberwart City Park, where musicians and bands such as Harri Stojka , the Ferry Janoska Ensemble and the Diknu Schneeberger Trio also performed. Romano Rath performed on October 18, 2014 at the event “Burgenland Diversity” in the OHO ( Open House Oberwart ). Romano Rath also appears regularly at the annual Roma Ball in Oberwart, which is organized by the Burgenland Roma Adult Education Center.
