Romanus Braubach

Romanus Maria August Braubach (born August 9, 1851 in Cologne ; † March 4, 1904 ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Braubach attended high school at the Apostelnkirche in Cologne and the universities of Bonn , Berlin and Heidelberg and received his doctorate in Heidelberg in 1872. In 1869 he was a one-year volunteer in the King's Hussar Regiment (1st Rhine. No. 7) and took part in the war against France . Later he was a reserve officer in the Rhenish Cuirassier Regiment No. 8. First he was a trainee lawyer in Cologne and Trier , from 1878 he was a lawyer and from 1879 a lawyer at the regional court, from September 1889 at the Cologne Higher Regional Court. He was also a city councilor for Cologne.

From 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Koblenz 5 Mayen , Ahrweiler and the German Center Party . He resigned his mandate on December 5, 1895 when he took over a legal position at the Reichsgericht .
