action

Romeo feat. Julia is a crossover project: eight young hip-hoppers start a very special experiment. They bring the most famous love story in world literature to the stage: William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet . They are accompanied by the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg and more than 100 dancers.

The series accompanied the young people on their way from first meeting to the big live performance. The youngsters were supported by rap coach Robin Haefs from the Rapucation initiative and director Sigrun Fritsch from the Panoptikum action theater . In various workshops, the young people approached Shakespeare's characters. They received acting lessons and, together with over 100 young people, learned to dance hip-hop steps to classical music.
