Romeu Pellicciari (born March 26, 1911 in Jundiaí , SP , † July 15, 1971 in São Paulo ) was a Brazilian football player .

Career

Romeu played in the course of his career he mainly played for the Fluminense Rio de Janeiro . Here he is said to have scored 91 goals in 200 games. As well as the Palmeiras São Paulo , where he is said to have scored 106 goals in 165 games. Here he is held in honor by the fans because he scored four goals on November 5, 1933 in an 8-0 win over city rivals SC Corinthians ( Derby Paulista ).

National team

His first contact with the national team was in a friendly against them. On December 16, 1934, he played as a team member of Palmeiras São Paulo against the selection of Brazil. In the 4-1 result for Brazil, he scored the goal for his team.

In the national team, Romeu made his first appearance at the 1938 World Cup . He scored his three goals for the selection in the course of this soccer world championship. Further missions followed at the Copa Roca in 1939 and 1940 and the Copa Rio Branco .
