Ronald Haworth (born March 10, 1901 in Lower Darwen , † 1973 in Blackburn ) was an English football player . The half- forward played for Blackburn Rovers , Hull City and Manchester United in the 1920s a total of 63 games in the divisions of the Football League , scoring 17 goals.

Career

Haworth played in Blackburn for the team at a Sunday school before he was brought into the English elite class as an amateur by the Blackburn Rovers in March 1922 . He acclimatized there within a very short time and scored three goals in five games on the last days of the 1921/22 season . After he could not repeat his goal quota in the following season (18 games / 4 goals), he came in his last year in Blackburn only two appearances in the first team and otherwise played for the reserve team in the Central League . In the summer of 1924 he then moved to the Second Division at Hull City , but only played there regularly in his first season.

In 1926 he was hired again in the First Division, at Manchester United he came on the first two game days on the left half- forward position as a substitute for Charlie Rennox before he spent the rest of the season with the reserve team in the Central League. At the end of the season he left Manchester again and continued his career in the Lancashire Combination at FC Darwen .
