Ronald Stratford Scrivener

Ronald Stratford Scrivener CMG (born December 29, 1919 in London , † March 4, 2001 ) was a British diplomat .

Scrivener was the son of Patrick Stratford Scrivener. From 1947 to 1952 he was married to Elizabeth Drake-Brockman. On May 14, 1962 he married Mary Alice Olga Sofia Jane Lane (born January 4, 1919 in London, † September 20, 2014). On June 12, 1965 he was accepted as a Companion in the Order of St. Michael and St. George .

From 1969 to 1971 he was ambassador to Panama and from 1971 to 1974 ambassador to Prague . For three years, from 1974 to 1977, he was in charge of public relations for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office .
