Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec is an international design studio based in Paris , France . The brothers Ronan Bouroullec (* 1971 in Quimper ) and Erwan Bouroullec (* 1976 in Quimper) are equal partners .

Life

Ronan Bouroullec graduated from the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris in 1996 and founded a design office there that same year. Erwan worked on the first drafts as an assistant during his studies. In 1998 the two presented their “Disintegrated Kitchen” at the furniture fair in Milan and were discovered by Giulio Cappellini . From him they received their first commercial order for the cappellini design label. In 1999, his brother Erwan Bouroullec successfully completed his studies at the École nationale supérieure d'arts in Cergy-Pontoise and joined his brother's office as a partner, which has since been known as Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec .

2000 Ronan and Erwan got a commission to design the exhibition space for the collection of A-Poc of Issey Miyake in Paris. In the same year there were first discussions with Rolf Fehlbaum , the owner of vitra , which led to an extensive cooperation - starting with an office system "Joyn". The brothers have also been working for the Italian furniture manufacturer Magis since 2004, and in 2006 they designed the new showroom in Stockholm for the Danish fabric manufacturer Kvadrat . The textile room system "North Tiles" is a result of this collaboration.

Since 2001, the Bouroullec brothers have also been working on various experimental design projects, which were presented to the public in four exhibitions at the Kreo Gallery in Paris.
