Ronda Whyte (born November 6, 1990 in Saint Elizabeth Parish ) is a Jamaican hurdler who specializes in the 400 meter distance .

Athletic career

Ronda Whyte gained her first international experience at the 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju , South Korea , where she finished sixth in 57.26 seconds. In 2017 she qualified for the World Championships in London , where she was disqualified in the semifinals . The following year, she took part for the first time in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast and finished fourth in 55.02 s. At the end of July, she won the Central America and Caribbean Games (CAC) in Barranquilla in 55.08 s .

In 2017 Whyte became Jamaican champion in the 400 meter hurdles.
