Ronja Schütte

Ronja Schütte (born February 20, 1990 in Geesthacht ) is a former German rower .

In 2007 Anna-Maria Kipphardt , Anja Broders , Navina Passmann and Ronja Schütte became German champions in the four without a helmsman and took second place at the Junior World Championships . At the Junior World Championships in 2008, Broders and Schütte won the two without a helmsman . In 2009 and 2010 Schütte rowed in the U23 eighth and finished fifth and fourth at the U23 World Championships . In 2011 Schütte won eighth at the German Championships, and eighth rowed to eighth place at the 2011 World Championships . In 2012 Schütte qualified with the German women's eight for the Olympic Games in London , but missed the final there with the team.

In the new Olympic cycle, Schütte continues to be part of the German women's belt division. At the European Rowing Championships in 2013 she won the silver medal with the eighth, but had to make way for the world championships in the four without a helmsman and took fourth place there. After that, she established herself permanently for the eighth, which had a difficult time. At the 2014 World Championships in Amsterdam, Schütte finished seventh with this team, then fourth at the 2015 European Championships and 10th at the 2015 World Rowing Championships . The German women's eight could not qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics. However, Schütte successfully took part in the 2016 World Championships in a four-without with the young rowers Melanie Hansen , Charlotte Reinhardt and Lea-Kathleen Kühne and won the bronze medal behind Great Britain and the United States.

Ronja Schütte rowed for the Essen-Werdener Rowing Club , she grew up in Velbert and studied psychology at the Ruhr University in Bochum .
