Villas Roonstrasse 41/43

The villas Roonstraße 41/43 are two multi-storey city villas built together under a common roof on Roonstraße and Viktoriaplatz in the Brill city district of Wuppertal - Elberfeld . They were built at the end of the 19th century by the architects Georg Haude and Heinrich Metzendorf and have developed basement, ground, upper and attic floors. The richly structured facades are coordinated with one another and both have clinker cladding and natural stone on the cornice and walls of windows and portals. The buildings show an eclectic variety of historical style elements, including gargoyles on the gutters of the eaves of the corner bay .

The two adjoining, relatively narrow building wings form a street front of around 16 meters towards Roonstrasse, the corner villa here accounts for barely more than half. Because of the small size, the kitchen both villas were each souterrain set up in the basement.

The building Roonstraße 41 has been registered in the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal under number 615 since October 1985 , the building Roonstrasse 43 under number 528 since July 1985.
