from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rorschach monthly was published as the first monthly chronicle in 1597. It was published by the Augsburgers Samuel Dilbaum (editor) and Bernhard Straub (print).

It was entitled “Historical telling of the most important stories and actions, which happened in this 1597th year in the whole of Europe” .

The name Rorschach refers to the town of Rorschach in the canton of St. Gallen , Switzerland .

The Rorschacher monthly magazine, which was only four to eight pages long, counts as a periodical , but it was a magazine and not a newspaper . She always reported only in the sense of a chronicle of past events in their chronological order without any direct relevance to topicality or comment .

After a year, the Rorschacher monthly was given up presumably for lack of money.
