Rosalind Mary Grender, Baroness Grender MBE (born August 19, 1962 ) also known as Olly Grender , is a former Liberal Democrat communications director and a life peer member of the House of Lords . In the 1980s, Grender became a member of the National League of Young Liberals . After serving with the Liberal Democrats, Grender wrote speeches for Paddy Ashdown in the late 1980s , for which she was awarded an MBE on the 1996 Birthday Honors list.

Between June 1990 and June 1995 she headed the PR department of the Liberal Democrats. Between June 1995 and October 1999 she headed the PR department of the shelter homeless welfare organization, and in 2000 she took up a position at the PR agency LLM Communications. Grender occasionally appears as a representative of the Liberal Democrats on British television. On November 21, 2011, she appeared as one of three people on the questionnaire "Question Time". She ran a blog series for New Statesman magazine for over a year .

In August 2013 it was announced that Grender would become a member of the House of Lords as a life peer for the Liberal Democrats . On September 4, 2013, Grender was raised to Baroness Grender , of Kingston upon Thames in the London Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
