Rosemarie Marschner

Rosemarie Marschner (* 1944 in Wels ) is an Austrian journalist and author .

Live and act

At first she worked as a teacher for German and English at several Austrian schools and also as a columnist and radio play author . She has lived and worked in Düsseldorf since the early 1970s .

Her subjects are inspired by her personal interests. The focus is on historical novels and novel biographies. The book room and the follow-up novel Das Jagdhaus are set in the Linz and Upper Austria area in the period before and during the Second World War until the end of the war. The author's knowledge is based on memories of her grandmother, to whom she gives ample, albeit only partially, biographical space in the figure of Marie in both books.
