Rosemarie Veltins

Rosemarie Veltins (born February 14, 1938 in Grevenstein ; † April 30, 1994 there ) was a German entrepreneur .

Rosemarie Veltins attended school in Meschede and then trained in the family brewery. Then she joined the management there. In 1964, after the death of her father, she took over the management of the company. She managed the company, founded in 1824, in the 4th generation. Under her management, the only regionally known brewery C. & A. Veltins became one of the leading breweries in Germany. Rosemarie Veltins played a key role in converting the company to the exclusive production of beer according to the Pilsen brewing style and establishing it as a national premium brand. Under the management of Rosemarie Veltins, the output grew from around 114,000 hectoliters with 80 employees in 1963 to 2.12 million hectoliters and 350 employees in 1990. In addition to her professional activity, Rosemarie Veltins was involved in environmental protection and as a patron of art and sport. In particular, she took care of the restoration of Grevenstein Castle .

Rosemarie Veltins had three children, from whom Susanne Veltins took over the management of the company.
