Rosendal is a place in Norway , the administrative seat of the municipality of Kvinnherad and its largest tourist center.

Geographically, Rosendal is at the exit of the Hardangerfjord between the mountains Melderskin (1426 m) and Malmangernuten (890 m). From Rosendal you can reach the Myrdal with the fish-rich Myrdalsee at its end.

Rosendal is also home to the municipality's biggest tourist attraction, the Barony Rosendal , a museum that sheds light on Norway's union with Denmark . In addition, the Kvinnherad Church, a stone church from around 1250, is interesting. There is also a shipbuilding museum in the village .
