Roseverte (stylized as ROSEVERTE , formerly roseVeRte ) is an independent Japanese developer and publisher of Japanese adventure games (often referred to as visual novel in English ), u. a. also for girls ( Otome Game ), like Café 0 ~ The Drowned Mermaid ~ . They also help with website design, translations and logo / banner design.

history

2010–2011: beginnings

The Dōjin Games Circle was founded in 2010 by Chu-3 ( ち ゅ み , Chumi ). You started with two or three people. Her first game dUpLicitY - Eien no Kyogi ( デ ゥ プ リ シ テ ィ ～ 永遠 の 虚偽 ～ , Dupurishiti - Eien no Kyogi , English dUpLicitY ~ Eternal Lie ~ ), a sci-fi visual novel, was published for free in Japanese on July 29, 2010. The official English translation was published on October 4, 2010. On July 1, 2011, an alternate story for the game was published in Japanese; dUpLicity - Uso no Saki ni Aru Mono ( デ ゥ プ リ シ テ ィ ～ 嘘 の 先 に あ る も の ～ , Dupurishiti - Uso no Saki ni Aru Mono , English dUpLicity ~ Beyond the Lies ~ ). This game was their first Japanese commercial release.

On October 4, 2011, their first English commercial game was released; Café 0 ~ The Drowned Mermaid ~ ( カ フ ェ ・ ゼ ロ ～ 溺 れ た 人魚 ～ , Kafe Zero - Oboreta Ningyo ), a supernatural mystery visual novel. Zeiva Inc co-wrote and beta tester this game. The game was later translated into Japanese and released on December 24, 2011. This version already contained Japanese voice actors.

2012–2014: East Tower

On January 12th, 2012 ROSEVERTE Café re-released 0 ~ The Drowned Mermaid ~ in English with Japanese voice actors . Furthermore, the German translation was published on March 9, 2012, which also contained Japanese voice actors. The German version was translated by Marcel Weyers . The English version of dUpLicitY ~ Beyond the Lies ~ was released on March 20th, 2012. The official German translation of dUpLicitY ~ Beyond the Lies ~ was published on June 19, 2013 by Marcel Weyers, the German image processing was done by SD Designs.

On July 25, 2012, the English demo and the first character path of their Otome Game East Tower ( イ ー ス ト タ ワ ー , Īsutotawā) for Apple iOS was released. The game is a mystery comedy visual novel. The game was later released for Android as well . The second character trail was released in English on November 27, 2012 and in Japanese on November 30, 2012. The third character trail was released in English and Japanese on May 14, 2013. On August 6, 2013, the PC version of East Tower , which is based on Adobe Air , was released. The fourth and final character trail was released on March 11, 2014 for Windows and Mac OS in English and Japanese; the mobile versions for iOS and Android followed on March 21, 2014.

2015-2019: Story of Eroolia

The first episode of East Tower was released on Steam on April 27, 2015 , and for the first time officially in German. The game was again translated into German by Marcel Weyers. The other episodes followed in the course of the year.

The game How To Take Off Your Mask ( 貴方の仮面の外し方, Anata no were no hazushi-kata ) was first released on June 7, 2015. Japanese. The English publication followed on June 19. When it was released on Steam, the game also contained the German translation by Marcel Weyers. A spin-off from East Tower with the title West Tower was suggested and the sequel to Café 0 ~ The Drowned Mermaid ~ , which is titled Café 0 ~ The Sleeping Beast ~ , was released on October 29, 2016. The sequel to How To Take Off Your Mask is titled How To Fool A Liar King ( 嘘 つ き な 王 様 の 騙 し 方 , Usotsukina ōsama no damashi-kata ) and should be financed through crowdfunding via Indiegogo ; The goal was $ 3,000 of which only $ 1,087 was brought in. Nevertheless, the game was released on October 4, 2017.

The third part of the Story-of-Eroolia series entitled How To Sing To Open Your Heart ( 心 を 開 く 歌 い 方 Kokoro o hiraku utai-kata ) and was released on January 17, 2019 for the PC. Shortly afterwards, the German translation and ports for iOS and Android appeared. In 2019 the corporate design of ROSEVERTE was redesigned with a new logo and a different stylized spelling of the name.

2020 – today: Takorita Meets Fries

In 2020 a new short game entitled Takorita Meets Fries ( タ コ リ タ ・ ミ ー ツ ・ ポ テ ト =) was announced. A free demo of the game was released on August 17, 2020. Kickstarter.com is expected to collect almost € 840 for the development of the game .
