Ross McWhirter

Alan Ross McWhirter (born August 12, 1925 - November 27, 1975 in London ) was a British publisher .

In 1954 he founded the Guinness Book of Records with his twin brother Norris McWhirter .

On November 27, 1975, he was the victim of an IRA attack. McWhirter had offered a £ 50,000 reward for the apprehension of IRA members who had bombed London.
