The Naumann thrush ( Turdus naumanni ) is a songbird from the thrush family (Turdidae).
These 23 centimeters achieved Siberian thrushes occurs in two distinctly divergent subspecies, the rust tail throttle ( T. n. Naumanni ) and the grate wing throttle ( T. n. Eunomus ).
Rusttail thrush
The top is gray-brown. The chest and flanks are brightly reddish-red on a white background. The tail is rust-red. The rusttail thrush is a breeding bird in southern Central and Eastern Siberia. Roaming birds rarely make it to Central and Western Europe.
Rust-wing throttle
The top is dark brown, the upper wing and rump are rust brown. The underside of the body is white, the chest shows a broad band of black spots, the flanks are also strongly spotted with black. The tail is blackish. The rust-winged thrush breeds in the northern parts of central and eastern Siberia. Occasionally she also comes to Central and Western Europe.
