Rosy Afsari

Rosy Afsari ( Bengali রোজি সামাদ Roji Samad * 1946 / 47 ;? † 9. March 2007 in Dhaka ) was a Bangladeshi actress . She starred in about 200 films.

Afsari began her acting career under the name Rosy Samad in 1964 with the film Eito Jibon . She played a leading role in Zahir Raihan's 1964 film Sangam , Pakistan's first color film .

Her most important films were Surjo Sangram (1979) by Abdus Samad , Golapi Ekhon Trainey (1979) by Amjad Hossain , Jibon Thekey Neya (1970) by Zahir Raihan and Ritwik Ghataks Titash Ekti Nadir Naam (1973). She also produced and directed several films.

Rosy Afsari has received several Bangladeshi National Film Awards. She was married to the film director Malek Afsari and had two children. She died of kidney failure in a Dhaka hospital at the age of 60.
