history

Women's soccer

The soccer players from Rot-Weiß Berrendorf became champions of the Middle Rhine in 1978 and qualified for the final round of the German championship. There, the team already had in the first round of the KBC Duisburg 0: 2 and 0: 3 beaten. Six years later, the Berrendorf women won the Middle Rhine Cup and thus qualified for the DFB Cup. After a 4-2 win over ATSV Stockelsdorf , the end after a 0-2 win at KBC Duisburg followed in the second round . In 1985 Rot-Weiß Berrendorf was one of the founding members of the then first-class Regionalliga West , from which the team was relegated in 1988. With Elke Richter , the club provided a German national player . The club does not currently provide a women's team.

Men's soccer

The men from Rot-Weiß Berrendorf rose to the district class in 1951 and three years later made it to the state league , the highest amateur league on the Middle Rhine at the time. After only one year, the Berrendorfer descended back into the district class and in 1958 had to go to the district class. Two years later, the rise succeeded. In the following years, the team did not get beyond the lower divisions. Since the promotion in 2007, the red-whites played in the district league A, before relegation to the district league B followed ten years later.
