The Rotenbek Trio is a German guitar - Trio .

On the history of the ensemble

The "Rotenbek Trio" has been interpreting classical and contemporary guitar music since 1980 . The joint concert activity began with Albert Aigner while studying at the Lübeck University of Music .

Numerous contemporary composers (e.g. Kreidler ) wrote titles for the trio. Concert tours in Germany and Europe followed.

The trio was named after the rehearsal location east of Hamburg at the time . Stefan Rother joined the Rotenbek Trio in 2006 for Gerd Blasejewicz.

The ensemble has recorded five CDs, some of which were released by "Ambitus".

Members

  • Heike Krugmann (* 1958) is a founding member of the Rotenbek Trio. Since 1980 she has been teaching at the Herzogtum Lauenburg district music school. Since 1996 she has been the conductor of the guitar ensemble "nota bene". She is part of the team of lecturers at the Nordkolleg Rendsburg.
  • Stefan Rother (* 1971) is a primary school teacher for music and mathematics. He studied guitar at the music academies in Lübeck, Lucerne and Hamburg with Professors Albert Aigner, Frank Bungarten, Klaus Hempel and Olaf van Gonnissen.
  • Peter Lohse (* 1956) is also a founding member of the trio. He teaches at the Plön District Music School and the Lübeck University of Music.
