Mount Youngman

Mount Youngman is a snow-covered and 620  m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in western Antarctica . It rises 6 km southeast of the Scott Nunatakker in the Alexandra Mountains on the Edward VII Peninsula . At the head of the Cumbie Glacier, it towers over the Swinburne Ice Shelf to the north and Sulzberger Bay .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1964 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1971 after Captain Samuel A. Youngman, medical officer on the command staff of the support units of the US Navy in Antarctica during Operation Deep Freeze in 1969 and 1970.
