The Cumbie Glacier is a short and steep glacier in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica . It flows immediately east of the Scott Nunatakker in a northerly direction to the Swinburne Ice Shelf on the southwest side of Sulzberger Bay .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from the years between 1959 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1971 after William Alvin Cumbie Jr. (1924 to 1988), aircraft electrician and radio operator a with R4D equipped with skids , with which Rear Admiral George J. Dufek (1903–1977) landed the first aircraft at the geographic South Pole on October 31, 1956 .
