Rothesay [ ˈrɒ.seɪ ] (or [ ˈrɒθseɪ ]) is a small Canadian town in the province of New Brunswick in Kings County .

The city has 11,947 inhabitants (2011) and is located at the confluence of the Kennebecasis River in the Kennebecasis Bay .

Rothesay is a suburb of Saint John and was named after the city of the same name, Rothesay in Scotland .
