The RotorWay A600 Talon is a single-engine, two-seat kit - helicopter from the US manufacturer RotorWay International .
history
The first tests with the A600 took place in January 2007 and was presented to the public on July 23, 2007 at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in Oshkosh, Wisconsin . The helicopter is delivered as a kit, but can also be purchased as a finished product. The new price should be around USD 150,000. During the flight test flights on March 15, 2011, there was an incident with a works helicopter in which the machine was destroyed but no one was injured.
construction
The A600 has a two-blade main rotor with asymmetrical rotor blades and a two-blade tail rotor with a symmetrical rotor blade profile. In contrast to the Exec , the tail rotor is conventionally driven by a drive shaft. This solution is technically more complex and expensive, but also much more fail-safe than the often criticized belt drive of the Exec.
The water-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine is available in two versions, the RotorWay RI 600N with 147 HP or the RI 600S (Supercharged) with 167 HP, is manufactured by RotorWay itself and has a FADEC system. An EFIS ( MGL Stratomaster Enigma ) is used in the cockpit instead of conventional analog displays.
A landing gear is used as a landing device, and floats are also available.
