history
The company was founded in 1961 by Buford J.Schramm under the name Rotorway Aircraft , renamed RotorWay International in 1990 and bought up by a group of investors in 2007.
Products
Kit helicopters are developed that can be assembled by the buyer. The construction time is specified between 200 hours and 1000 hours. Around half of the 2,400 helicopters sold to date are in flight. The new price in 2010 was 100,000 USD / 69,000 EUR. All critical assemblies such as the engine, rotor head , gearbox , drive trains and rotor blades are manufactured in the RotorWay factory.
