The Rotz Glacier is a 14 km long and up to 3 km wide glacier in the northern Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows west of the Wakefield Highland to the Airy Glacier , which it reaches at a headland south of Mount Timosthenes .
Trimetrogon aerial photographs were taken on November 27, 1947 during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys in December 1958 and November 1960. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1962 after Jean Rotz , French cartographer of the 16th century and, from 1542, hydrograph of the English King Henry VIII.
