Rotz auf der Wiese is a fun punk band from Hanover , which was founded on New Years Day in 1994. The band plays fast-paced, melodic songs with German lyrics.

history

The band made their first appearance in 1994 at the Springer Otto Hahn Gymnasium , which was founded in 1994 . In the same year the band won the “Hannover muckt auf” competition sponsored by BILD .

In 1995 they won the 1st Seelz rock competition. They also took part in the rifle parade Jumpe, disguised as the “Bennigsen youth music group”. They gave u. a. with Die Dikkmannz and Die Schröders as well as other German punk bands concerts.

In early 1999 the band split from Elias Glauche. A little later, Steffen Hardekopf joined the band as a replacement.

After various demo tapes and CD sampler contributions, they released their first CD, King of the Seas , in the summer of 2000 . Numerous regional and national concerts and festival appearances followed.

On September 16, 2004, while recording the second album, guitarist and founding member Michael Haller died unexpectedly. After a year off they decided to continue playing as a trio. At the end of 2005 they started recording their third album and started a tour through Germany. In 2008 the last album, Gestern Freibier, was released .
