The Rouch Point ( French Pointe Rouch ) is a headland that forms the northwestern extension of Petermann Island in the Wilhelm Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula .
Participants in the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903–1905) were the first to map the headland. The expedition leader and polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot named it after Jules Alfred Pierre Rouch (1884–1973), who was involved in work on meteorology , atmospheric electricity and oceanography on this research trip. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee transferred the French name to English in 1959.
