Rouwen Huther

Rouwen Huther (* 1978 ) is a German opera singer with a tenor voice .

Life

He received his artistic training from Donald Litaker ( University of Music Karlsruhe ) and Richard Staab. He was also a student of Cornelius L. Reid (New York) and took part in masterclasses with Kammersängerin Hilde Zadek , Kammersängerin Júlia Várady and Kammersängerin Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau . In addition to first prizes at “ Jugend musiziert ”, he received a scholarship from the Carl Hempel Foundation in Wiesbaden in 2000 and a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Association in 2001.

Rouwen Huther has already worked with well-known conductors (e.g. Stefan Asbury, Ulf Schirmer , Andreas Spörri), directors (e.g. David Mouchtar-Samorai, András Fricsay , Rosamund Gilmore and Bruno Klimek ) and renowned orchestras (e.g. Münchner Rundfunkorchester , Hessisches Staatsorchester, Philharmonie Baden-Baden) together.

Concert and lieder singing

Rouwen Huther also works as a concert singer. His sacred repertoire includes masses and oratorios by J. S Bach, Joseph Haydn, Camille Saint-Saëns, Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, WA Mozart, Franz Schubert, Max Bruch and Lorenzo Perosi. His song repertoire includes the German romantic song composers such as Robert Schumann and Franz Schubert, but found his focus with Richard Strauss and Erich Wolfgang Korngold. So far he sang a. a. in the Eberbach Monastery, Kurhaus Wiesbaden, Kurhaus Baden-Baden, State Theater Wiesbaden, National Theater Mannheim, Prinzregententheater Munich, Konzerthaus Karlsruhe, Passionsspielhaus Erl. His engagements also took him abroad. a. to Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France.
