Rubén López García-Madrid (born July 9, 1979 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish football player on the position of a defender .

Career

Rubén López began his career at Vilobi CF, from where he moved to the first team of Terrassa FC in 2001 . In its first season, the club was able to rise to the Segunda División with fifth place, where the club stayed until relegation in 2004/05. Then the defender moved to CD Numancia , also based in the second highest Spanish division. After just one season, he returned to Terrassa and played third rate. In 2007 another change followed and Rubén López was active at the UD Vecindario . In 2008 he signed a contract with UD Melilla, which he (also third class) remained loyal to January 2011.

In January 2011 he moved to Austria to LASK Linz . There he made his debut in the top Austrian division on February 12, 2011 against SV Mattersburg , when he played through. The game was lost 0-1. In total, he came on six missions and had to relegate with the Linzers .
