Rubén Bareño , full name Rubén Laudelino Bareño , (born January 23, 1944 ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.74-meter-tall offensive player Bareño, who was used on the left wing, was part of the squad of Club Atlético Cerro in the Primera División from 1967 to 1969 and was also part of the New York Skyliners in 1967 . In 1968 he was with eight goals scored together with the same number of hits showing Alberto Spencer , Pedro Rocha and Rubén García top scorer of the Primera División. 1970 to 1971 he was then in the ranks of Nacional Montevideo . In both seasons, the Bolsos won the Uruguayan championship. He was also successful on an international level with Nacional and won the Copa Libertadores in 1971 . In the first final game he came on as a substitute. In December 1971 he was also part of the winning team of the Bolsos in the two games against Panathinaikos Athens for the World Cup and came in for a substitute in the second leg. He chose his next career station in Ecuador at Deportivo Cuenca . There he was active in 1972 and 1973. In 1974 he was listed as a player in the Racing Club in Argentina .

National team

Bareño was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay , for which he completed 13 international matches between July 28, 1967 and June 6, 1970. He scored three international goals. Bareño took part in the 1970 World Cup with Uruguay . There he came to his only tournament appearance in the course of the competition in the preliminary round match against Italy .
