Rudolf Leuckart Medal
The Rudolf Leuckart Medal is a medal of honor that is awarded annually by the German Society for Parasitology (DGP) to researchers who have distinguished themselves through significant work in the field of parasitology in memory of the founder of parasitology, Rudolf Leuckart . The medal was donated by Giessen zoologists in memory of Rudolf Leuckart. According to the statutes, the board of trustees always includes a Gießen parasitologist or zoologist.
Award winners
The medal was awarded for the first time in 1974 on the occasion of the 3rd International Congress for Parasitology in Munich to the following six researchers:
