Rudolf Brisebarre

Rudolf Brisebarre ( French Raoul ; † after 1265) was Lord of Blanchegarde in the Kingdom of Jerusalem .

Life

He was the son of Gilles Brisebarre , Lord of Blanchegarde and his wife Agnes von Lairon. He followed his father after his death as Lord of Blanchegarde.

On March 3, 1265, in the presence of the Haute Cour of Jerusalem, he sold his reign Blanchegarde to Baron Amalrich Barlais , who was loyal to the Hohenstaufen and married to his cousin. The rule was conquered a little later by the Mamluks .

Marriage and offspring

He married Isabella of Haifa, daughter of the Lord of Haifa. He had eight children with her:

  • Walter ∞ Agnes, daughter of Gilles l'Aleman and his wife Alix;
  • Thomas ∞ Agnes, daughter of John of Flory, Marshal of Tiberias;
  • Johann;
  • Nikolas;
  • Stefanie;
  • Agnes ∞ Thomas l'Aleman, youngest son of Johann l'Aleman and his wife Margarethe Brisebarre, mistress of Caesarea ;
  • Maria ∞ Balian of Laneele;
  • Alix ∞ Berthelot von Garnier (from Pisa).
