Rudolf Fisch (born April 16, 1939 in Hagen ) is a German social and organizational psychologist .

Life

Fisch studied psychology, physiology and psychiatry in Frankfurt am Main, Münster and Bochum. It was founded in 1967 at the University of Bochum for Dr. phil. PhD. After completing his habilitation in psychology in 1972, he was professor of psychology at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken from 1972 to 1974 and held the chair of social psychology at the University of Konstanz from 1974 to 1992 . There he was a member of the board of directors of the Collaborative Research Center 221 “Management in Transition” (1985–1990) and worked in various advisory commissions at the state level.

Since 1992 he has been a professor for empirical social sciences, with a special focus on administration, at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer (DHV) in Speyer. From 1995 to 1997, Fisch was scientific officer for the III. Management college at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer. In the 1997/98 winter semester he held a visiting professorship at the University of Vienna . Fisch was Vice-Rector from 2000 to 2001 and Rector from 2001 to April 2007 of the DHV.

Fish, now emeritus, made himself available to Bishop Gregor Maria Hanke together with religious historian Gert Melville for the provisional leadership of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in June 2008 , when he took the Chancellor of the Gottfried von der Heydte University on leave with immediate effect.

Act

Fisch's research interests range from behavior in organizations, for example teamwork and creativity, to leadership, collaboration and decision-making in complex administrative tasks, to methods of empirical social research (particularly observation methods , systematic evaluation) and science research.

During the time of his rectorate at the University of Administrative Sciences Speyer, the internal administration of the university was restructured, as well as the realignment of the courses and content of the DHV. Among other things, this became necessary due to the reform of the German legal training , which led to a sharp decline in the number of students. In addition, the university, which had previously been under the State Chancellery of Rhineland-Palatinate for 60 years, was handed over to the Ministry of Science.

Fisch was instrumental in the introduction of the post-university supplementary course in science management, which is offered at the DHV in cooperation with the Center for Science Management eV Speyer.

Fisch is a member of the board of trustees of the Zukunft Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar eV association
