Rudolf Gröger (ice hockey player)

Rudolf Gröger (born January 8, 1934 ) is a former German ice hockey player .

Life

Rudolf Gröger comes from Füssen . Since he was interested in ice hockey, he became a member of EV Füssen , which was dominant in German ice hockey at the time and which regularly set the German ice hockey champions in the 1950s and 1960s. Since his performances in the club were so good, he soon became a member of the first team of his club, with which he was German champion four times. He achieved this for the first time in 1963. Since this championship win by EV Füssen was also the EVF's tenth German ice hockey championship, the players of the championship team received the silver laurel leaf from Federal President Heinrich Lübke on March 10, 1963 .

In the following years Rudolf Gröger became German champions with the Füssen team in 1964, 1965 and 1968. In addition, he and his team won the Spengler Cup in 1964 .
