Rudolf Grafberger

Rudolf Grafberger (born October 12, 1934 in Bamberg ) is a former German local and state politician ( CSU ).

Life

After elementary school and high school in Bamberg, Grafberger studied mathematics and physics in Erlangen and Freiburg im Breisgau . From 1961 he worked as a secondary school teacher and until 1981, most recently as director of studies, at the technical college in his hometown.

From October 3, 1974 to November 11, 1974 Grafberger sat for the CSU in the Bavarian state parliament. Grafberger was CSU city councilor of Bamberg from 1966 to 2002, including parliamentary group chairman from 1978 to 1981, from 1976 to 1993 district chairman of his party and from 1981 to 1996 full-time mayor of the city of Bamberg and thus deputy mayor . In the election of the mayor in 1994 he ran for the CSU and did not reach the runoff with 26.48% of the vote.

Grafberger is married, has two children and is Roman Catholic.
