Rudolf Karl Hinterleitner (born September 14, 1946 in Graz ) is an Austrian journalist and publisher of various newspapers.

Life

Hinterleitner completed an apprenticeship as a low-voltage electrician. His work as an electrician led him to the sports department of the Kleine Zeitung . In 1965 he began to work in the sports department of the Kleine Zeitung.

In 1987, Hinterleitner and partners founded the newspaper, “der Grazer”. The free print media “der neue Grazer” and “der neue Steirer” as well as the private radio “107.5 - das Grazer Radio” and “G + S Zeitungsverlag” emerged from this project . After the publisher was sold, Hinterleitner founded the free newspaper “Graz im Bild”. This was bought by the Styria Group in 2006 and discontinued in August 2007. In addition, Hinterleitner worked for the sports department of the Austrian daily Kurier . Hinterleitner finally returned to the Styria Group, where he worked as a consultant until the end of 2012 . In April 2013 he took over the co-management of the STaZ publishing house, which publishes the free newspaper "Grasz lieve - my city newspaper".

In addition to his journalistic career, he has also organized events in Graz for decades. These include the “Knirpsturnier”, the “Liebenauer Hallenturnier”, the “Sports Holiday”, “Public Viewings” of major football events, the “Graz Women's Run”, the “Graz Half Marathon”, the “New Year's Eve” and the “10- Euro Ball ”.

Hinterleitner has been married to the graphic designer Ulrike Hinterleitner for the second time since 1978. He has a son from his first marriage and a daughter from his second marriage.
